EBS Sweet Rosalee is the number one Diva
at Applegait Valley Walkers. I searched for over a
year to find this extraordinary mare. I owned her
first-born son, Flash and as soon as I put him under saddle
and rode that smooth as silk gait, I knew I had to own his
mother. I had heard from Flash's owner that Rosie was
quite the athlete in her younger days in Canada. She
did endurance, poles, flags and barrels and was untouched by
the competition.
Unfortunately, Rosie was in a pasture
accident that left her permanently lame. But it sure
didn't stop her from producing the most beautifully moving
and correct foals, not to mention she passes on that lit up sabino gene
almost every single time, even with solid stallions.
Only one was near solid -- her LOOK filly, Jewel.
Rosie has had three colts and three fillies,
all with the high white stockings, big blaze and sabino
roaning pattern. In 2008, Rosie had a jet black filly
with only a star and snip on her upper lip. All of her
foals have classic smooth-as-they-come gaits, including a
fast rack to get you on down the trail. She is an easy
birther, good milker, and just an all-around wonderful
mother. To watch Rosalee move in the pasture is sheer
poetry. She is just elegant! I really love this
mare.
