Watson Saddles

I have run the gamut of the elusive saddle search, like just about everyone else.  In my sport of endurance, it is so critical to have a saddle that will fit a horse going the distance in tough competition and long training rides.

I have been through so many saddles, including treeless, custom made and a host of others and all of them hurt my horses back -- until I was fortunate enough to come into contact with Richard Watson.

He has been making flex panel saddles since he worked for Len Brown at the original Ortho Flex saddles when they first came on the scene.  He has over 30 years of flex panel saddle making experience and his workmanship and knowledge well show it.

The RL WATSON flex panel saddles will fit 95% of all horses, which means if you start a youngster out in a Watson flex panel saddle and in a few months his body condition changes with muscling up, the saddle will still fit like a glove.  No need to try to sell one saddle and purchase yet another saddle.

Richard Watson is a great man to deal with and his trial period is fantastic.  I have three Watson saddles now and am waiting for a fourth one that is in the works.  I cannot get enough of them!  The alignment from ankle to hip is the best I have ever ridden in.  The seat is fabulous and you will never have your crotch screaming for relief.  The seat is cushioned with one-inch memory foam and the design of the seat is such that your hiney just fits so perfectly into it.

The leather is buttery soft, the stitching is superb, no corners have been cut to make this the best saddle you will ever put on your deserving horse or put yourself into for the distance.

Here are three of my Watson saddles.  Please go to RL Watson's website and give Richard a call today to talk everything "saddle" with him.  He is easy to like and easy to talk to.

Tell him your saw it on Amber's site!

This is the Saddlite with the McClelland rigging to give a balanced ride.  This saddle like the others, weighs about 16 pounds.  The twist is narrow for a very comfortable ride.  You can set the rigging for full rig., 3/4, or 7/8, depending on the shape of your horse.

This model is the Distance Runner in chestnut with black seat.  All my saddles are a 16"  seat, but they come in sizes from 15" to 18".

This is my "No Frills" model, called the Endurance Lite.  Same saddle as above, but you do not get the leather covered stirrups or bars and the hardware is a bit different and there is no option for tooling.  Everything else is the same good quality as the Distance Runner and the Saddlite.  The price will reflect the no add-ons.
