![]() ![]() Shotgun's Pedigree ![]() Shotgun
is the son of Canada's late Premier Standing Stallion, Coin's
Double Play, who was tragically killed at age 10. Very few
of Double Play's stud foals were kept as stallions.
Through his dam, Shotgun has five lines to Silvertip Rickey, a
Northwest foundation stallion bred for stamina and smooth gait.
Also to Buck LaMarr, a stallion bred for the ranch country by
Tom Moss. His dam's line goes to Hey Joe, a Kaiser family
stallion known for his stamina and smooth gait. Shotgun
has the Merry Go Boy bloodlines from his dam through Shadow's
Brantley, a stallion Pearl Tompkins had at stud for many years.
Then his line goes to Merry Boy through Fritzsches Merry Boy, a
stallion who's history as a sire begins at Pearl Tompkins' ranch
and ends at the Cheff Ranch where he was a sire of many Walkers
used in the wilderness for riding and packing. Shotgun
also have five lines in his pedigree to Albert Dements' most
famous stallion, LAST CHANCE. Without a doubt one of
the old time natural greats in the Tennessee Walking Horse
history.
